Tocatì, the International Festival of Street Games, comes back at the end of September in the wonderful squares and streets of Verona, reaching successfully its 6th edition.

More than fifty games proposed by Italian and Foreign play communities will give life to the ancient heart of Verona, ready to give hospitality to passionate challenges between expert or improvised players, real fans or simple onlookers; the joyful atmosphere of the festival will attract everybody.

With Tocatì, Verona reveals its most evocative places, urban spaces free from cars, completely restored to a more enjoyable  dimension of the town.

Unique in Europe for the originality of proposals, the Festival has obtained the sponsorship of the European Parliament, the Ministry of Goods and Cultural Activities, the Ministry of the region Veneto, besides the collaboration with the town of Verona.

Tocatì has received different prestigious acknowledgements for keeping alive the traditional games, now Heritage of Humanity of Unesco.

Games that show the real identity and the roots of the Community, the historic sense of a people and a land; these simple old games are the concrete signs of traditions handed on with passion from father to son, in order to renew the common conscience of our cultural heritage.

Besides cultural interpretations, the main aspect is the essential role of games in the human experience: creative exercise of thoughts and skill, field of honest comparison and sane competition, entertainment that regenerates.
These elements are present in all of us-children, adults, elders- and can be instinctively recognized.

Every year Tocatì welcomes the representation of a foreign Nation that will tell its history and habits: this year our guest will be Scotland, Country of fascinating and mysterious traditions that we will discover thanks to the spectacular Highlands Games.

A rich programme of events, meetings, gastronomical stands and music completes the offer of the Festival: ideas for everybody’s taste, organized thanks to the important collaboration of big enterprises, Institutions and Local Organization.
